A Texan New Yorker at heart, a writer and filmmaker by trade. The stories I’ve reported, produced, edited and directed all have the same goal in mind: connect with an audience in the most compelling, emotionally engaging way possible.

I’ve worked in print journalism, commercial production, and digital media, where my pieces have focused on everything from criminal justice and social inequality to political extremism and global economics. Thus far I’ve received honors from the Society for Professional Journalists, the Hearst Journalism Awards Program, the SABEW Best in Business Awards and the 2020 Webby Awards.
