Investigative Video Journalist
I believe video journalism has the unique power to break a complex story down to its most engaging parts. Take raw visuals and emotional narratives, then craft them into something that stays with the audience long after they view it.
Most of the stories I’ve written, produced edited and directed focus on political extremism, gun violence, criminal justice, social inequality, hate crimes and issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Through each piece, I seek to combine sharp investigative journalism with challenging personal stories that push the national conversation into new territory.
My work in journalism thus far has received honors from the Society for Professional Journalists, the Hearst Journalism Awards Program, the SABEW Best in Business Awards and The 2020 Webby Awards. You’ll find some of the video and multimedia pieces I’ve worked on at Quartz, HuffPost, Mic, NowThis News, The Dodo, Animal Planet, Lucky Tiger Productions, Part2 Pictures, Time Inc. Studios and the Tribeca Film Festival. I’ve also written for the Austin American-Statesman, Texas Lone Star Magazine and The Daily Texan.
